FORT ST. JOHN -- Fort St John RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a man wanted for assault with a weapon.

Branden Miskenack has a long and violent criminal history that includes being found guilty a number of times for assault as well as weapons offenses.

Police say they believe that Branden Miskenack is still in the Fort St John area. Mounties are warnng the public that if you come into contact with Miskenack, don't confront him.

Miskenack is described as:

• Indigenous male

• 29 years old

• 172 cm (5’8)

• 113 kg (250 lbs)

• Brown eyes

• Short dark hair

• He has tattoos under his left eye, left side of his neck, and on the back of both of his hands
