FORT ST. JOHN, BC -- Fort St. John RCMP executed a major drug and weapons bust earlier this month.

On September 8th, the RCMP’s Drug Unit and Crime reduction unit conducted a joint force operation on what they are calling a prolific drug trafficking operation.

Officers executed a search warrant on an apartment at the 8000 block of 86th Street. Police seized around 160 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as an undisclosed amount of other suspected controlled substances. They also seized a revolver-style handgun and a bolt-action rifle – both of which were loaded – as well as several rounds of ammunition and $8495 in cash.

Mounties say three people were arrested in connection with the investigation, and several drug and firearm offenses are being pursued by police.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with more information is being asked to contact the Fort St. John detachment at (250) 787-8100.
