FORT ST. JOHN -- The City of Fort St. John is rolling out a new online platform for purchasing bulk water credits, following recent upgrades to local stations.
The service will allow residential customers to securely purchase water credits using a mobile device or computer.
“This new system allows you to manage your bulk water credits from anywhere,” said the City in a media release.
To access the platform, new customers must visit City Hall to register for an account, where they will then receive an email with login details and a temporary password.
From there, users can go to FortStJohn.ca/bulk-water-credits to manage their profiles and add credits to their accounts.
Once the transaction is approved, the credits can be used at the Fort St. John and Charlie Lake Bulk Water Stations.
“Mobile users can quickly check their balance and add credits, while desktop users can access additional features such as transaction history.”
In July, the Fort St. John Bulk Water Station closed for just over two weeks for parking lot reconstruction and followed kiosk and software upgrades to accommodate the online water credit purchasing.
More information on the platform can be found on the city's website or by contacting the Finance team at City Hall.
