DAWSON CREEK -- An investigation is underway after an explosion occurred at Tidy Trucking in Fort St. John.

The incident happened just before 6 P.M. on Tuesday night.

That investigation was led by WorkSafeBC, but was then handed over to Labour Canada Investigators, after WorkSafe realized it was out of their jurisdiction.

In the initial report, it was said there were no deaths or injuries but the company has now confirmed 2 people were injured during the blast.

One person was taken to hospital but was immediately released.

The other person was kept overnight for observation and released the next day.
