FORT NELSON, BC -- The Fort Nelson First Nation has re-elected Chief Councillor Sharleen Gale.

The Nation went to the polls last week to elect council for the next two years. On Tuesday, that council met and selected Councillor Gale as their chief.

Gale has served on the council since 2009. She has been Chief several times during that period, including the previous two-year term.

Gale is also the chair of the First Nations Major Projects Coalition, and sat on the Premier’s Economic Recovery Taskforce early in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gale says in the upcoming term, council looks forward to “working together to tackle the issues that matter to our members.”
