DAWSON CREEK -- Dawson Creek RCMP have seized a number of firearms, drugs, and fraudulent documents following the search of an industrial lot near the 300 Block of 115th Avenue.

On Tuesday May 6th, RCMP received a call advising them to a sighting of man who was wanted by police.

According to RCMP, when they arrive on scene to conduct a search, the man had allegedly already fled.

The search of the property led police to seizing four rifles of different calibres, two handguns, ammunition, firearm parts, and imitation police gear.

In addition to the firearms, police also seized suspected fentanyl, a stolen motorbike, a drone, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

“We are always pleased to remove illegally obtained firearms, stolen property and drugs off of the streets of Dawson Creek,” said Corporal Uittenbosch in a press release.

Police also recovered hundreds are what are believed to be fraudulent documents including passports, driver’s licenses, and SIN cards.

“We applauded the public in noting suspicious activity that does not belong in our community.” added Corporal Uittenbosch.

RCMP continue their search for the male suspect and are encouraging anyone with information or who witness suspicious activity to contact the detachment at 250-784-3700.
