Crews continue to monitor the wildfire burning west of Hudson’s Hope.

The Folded Hill Creek fire near Williston Lake is still at 200 hectares in size. It is still classified as out of control, but the BC Wildfire Service says fire activity decreased over the weekend.

The service has not committed any assets to fighting the blaze, but are still monitoring it regularly. They say there is still no threat to the public or any nearby structures.

The wildfire has now been burning for nearly three weeks. It started on July 26th, and is believed to be caused by a lightning strike.
