Three people have died in an early morning accident north of Hythe, 28 kilometres from the B.C. border.
RCMP say it happened just after 5am on Highway 43 , near Range Road 113.
Police say three vehicles were involved in the collision. Two occupants, a 21-year-old male and 48-year-old female, from one of the vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.
One occupant, a 44-year-old male, of the second vehicle was also declared deceased. The third driver received no apparent injuries.
Mounties say that poor visibility is believed to be a contributing factor. Beaverlodge RCMP are continuing to investigate the incident.
