DAWSON CREEK -- The family of a man missing since New Year's Eve in Dawson Creek is organizing another search of the city.

Dawson Creek RCMP say Cole Hosack was last seen leaving the Lone Star night club at around 11pm on December 31st.

Family and friends of Cole are organizing a grid search of Dawson Creek and the surrounding area on Monday January 15th.

Cole's mom, Julie Hosack said volunteers are being split up into two separate, 3 hour searches. The first group is meeting at Memorial Arena upstairs at 10:00am, the second group will meet at 1:00pm.

Cole was passing through Dawson Creek. He was travelling from Prince George to Medicine Hat for a job that was supposed to start on January 5th. He never showed up.

Cole’s phone has been turned off since he went missing and his bank cards have not been used.

"It's affecting me, obviously like it would any parent. I think losing and not knowing where your child is. My worst fear right now is not knowing where he is for the next 30 years. So I want to bring Cole home no matter what that looks like," said Julie.

Julie tells CJDC TV News that the support from Dawson Creek business owners has been fantastic. Julie said, "Business owners have been more than helpful in terms of donations. In terms of helping, business owners have definitely been there, including the Mayor and the MLA."

However, there has been a reluctance from some people in helping search for Cole. That's because of the 3 other people that have gone missing in Dawson Creek over the past 13 months.

The Dawson Creek RCMP have stressed that there is no evidence to suggest that Cole's disappearance is in any way connected to the 3 other missing people.

Julie said, "If you know anything, if you saw anything no matter how big or small, we just want to bring Cole home.  If you know of anything please come forward, even it's anonymously."

If you can help search for Cole, you are being asked to check-in at the arena beforehand.

The following will be provided to all volunteers:

- Radios
- Maps
- Missing Posters
- Safety Vests
- Whistles
- Food
- Drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water)
