CHETWYND -- The emergency room at the Chetwynd Hospital is on diversion for the second time already this month.
It's the fourth ER closure at the hospital in only the last 6 days. The Emergency Room will be closed from Thursday at 4:00pm and won't re-open until 8pm.
Once again the health authority is citing a lack of physicians for the closure.
The health authority adds those needing life threatening emergency care would be taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
Another hospital diversion in Chetwynd took place over the weekend. The ER was closed on Saturday and Sunday due to over capacity and more staffing issues.
The closure marks the 17th diversion for the hospital in the last 6 months. There were 5 hospital diversion in Chetwynd during the month of June alone.
