FORT ST. JOHN -- Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s provincial health officer reported 148 new cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, for a total of 145,843 cases in British Columbia. Eight new cases of COVID were reported in the Northern Health region since yesterday.

There are currently 74 active cases of COVID in the Northern region.

There have been three new COVID-19 related deaths in B.C. in the past 24 hours, one of which is from the Northern Health region

Since the beginning of the pandemic 1,725 British Columbians have died from the virus, 154 from the Northern Health region.

Across the province, 195 people are in hospital, 47 of whom are in intensive care.

74.5% of all adults in B.C. and 72.4% of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
