FORT ST. JOHN -- A driver was transported to hospital after a two-vehicle collision on the Taylor Bridge.

According to Taylor Fire Chief Steve Byford, they responded to a vehicle incident involving a Ford F350 pickup truck and a Honda Civic sedan Tuesday at around 9 p.m. It happened on the approach from the north of the bridge while traffic was being controlled for bridge maintenance.

Fort St. John RCMP say it was reported to be foggy at the time of the collision.

The sedan rear-ended the pickup causing damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Honda was transported to Fort St. John Hospital by ambulance. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver had no injuries.

The scene was turned over to Fort St. John RCMP shortly after. The road was clear by 10:30 PM.
