FORT ST. JOHN -- Northern Health said intermittent disruptions are expected at the Fort St. John hospital’s birthing centre due to a gap in coverage for maternity nurses.
Expecting mothers are being asked to contact the hospital to determine which facility the patient should be transferred to.
The Health Authority said the interruptions could continue for the next few weeks until the gap in coverage is filled.
They said anyone needing emergency care should still contact 911.
