Dawson Creek woman released on bail while her boyfriend remains in custody after alleged armed home invasion

DAWSON CREEK -- A Dawson Creek woman charged in connection with a violent, armed home invasion has been released on bail.

Emily Ogden is facing numerous charges including possession of a firearm obtained by crime, flight from police and two counts of possession of property over $5000 obtained by crime.

The 22 year old Ogden was released on bail with conditions by a judge in Grande Prairie on Monday. Ogden's next court appearance is February 26th in Grande Prairie.

Ogden's bail conditons state she is to have no contact with Adam Dahr. She is also under a curfew from 9pm to 6am. Ogden is also prohibited from driving a vehicle or carrying a weapon. 

Odgen’s boyfriend, Adam Dahr is also facing a number of charges including possession of a firearm obtained by crime and two counts of possession of property over $5000 obtained by crime.

Dahr also had a bail hearing in Grande Prairie on Monday. He will be held in custody pending his next court appearance on February 26^th.

Three people have been charged in the alleged incident. A minor, who cannot be named was released from custody last Friday. A fourth suspect remains at large.

Dawson Creek RCMP responded to an alleged break and enter in progress in the 1500 block of 107^th Avenue just before 8pm on Thursday.

Witnesses tell CJDC TV News that four people allegedly entered the residence with guns drawn. There were three people at home at the time.

The suspects allegedly demanded guns, drugs and money from the homeowner.

Witnesses says one of the suspects allegedly hit the homeowner in the face with the end of a sawed-off shotgun. The victim was taken to hospital and required stiches to close a deep gash. A family member said he has since been released.

Mounties allege the suspects then stole of pick-up truck from the residence.

The vehicle was disabled by the On-Star system onboard. Police say the suspects left the vehicle in a field near Rolla and fled the scene on foot.

Police say the suspects showed up at an oil and gas worksite. They reportedly told an employee that they were lost and asked the person to call a cab. The employee called the police instead.

There was heavy police presence near Coleman Creek Road. Officers from Dawson Creek were joined by members from the Spirit River and Beaverlodge RCMP detachments.

A police K-9 unit joined the search for the suspects. A homeowner told CJDC TV News that police told him to go home, lock the doors to his house and make sure his vehicles were locked.

At around 6:30 Friday morning, police arrested three suspects. A fourth suspect remains at large.

Dawson Creek RCMP say that this was a targeted incident and there is no risk to the public.

Mounties are continuing their investigation.
