DAWSON CREEK -- It was a hard fought game Saturday for the Campbell Cup finals between the Dawson Creek Senior Canucks and Falher Pirates. 

The teams played in front of a full house at the Memorial Arena. The Senior Canucks scored the first goal with under 8 minutes left in the 1st period. The Pirates would respond with a goal of their own with 6 minutes left in the second.

The Canucks would score a pair of goals later in the second. They would add another early in the third  as Anthony Gilbert making it a 3-1 lead for Dawson Creek.

However the Pirates would score 2 in the final 6 minutes in the third, pushing the game into sudden death overtime. 

In the extra frame, it would be Liam Craig finding the back of the net giving Dawson Creek their Campbell Cup in 20 years. 

The Senior Canucks are now headed to Quesnel to fight for the Coy Cup. Their first game is against Terrace  on Wednesday night at 8pm. The Senior Canucks have won the Coy Cup for three straight years and are now hoping to make it a fourth.
