DAWSON CREEK -- Dawson Creek RCMP have confirmed that the Dawson Creek Secondary South Peace Campus was placed under a lockdown order over the noon hour Friday.

Police were called to the South Peace Campus after a report of an individual with a weapon who was on the school grounds.

Corporal Sean Peddle said, “officers have located the suspect and there is no threat to the community.”

Nobody was injured and the lockdown was lifted just after 1 pm. Few details are being released as police are continuing their investigation.
