DAWSON CREEK -- Dawson Creek RCMP are investigating a suspicious death.

On Tuesday May 3rd, at approximately 5:55am, the Dawson Creek RCMP were called to County Squire Apartments located near the area of 8th Street and Watson Crescent, for a report of a male in medical distress.

The man in his 30s was rushed to to the hospital, however he did not survive his injuries. Subsequently, the Dawson Creek RCMP have engaged into a suspicious death investigation.

The family confirmed to CJDC-TV that the invididual who died is Tim Guy. The family said police told them Tim appeared to be stabbed while visiting a friend's apartment.

Police say the incident appears to be an isolated one. They do not believe there is concern for public safety.

The apartment building is well known to police.

Tenants CJDC-TV spoke to say there are often people coming and going to ground floor windows throughout the night. Some even said they have hired a lawyer to try to get out of their lease.

Police would like to speak with anyone that may have noted suspicious activity near the location on May 3rd between 1:00am to 6:00am, or anyone that may have video cameras in the area and have not yet been in contact with the police.
