DAWSON CREEK, BC -- Dawson Creek firefighters are warning the public about a likely scam.
A number of people have reported receiving text messages from someone claiming to be the Dawson Creek Fire Fighters Association. The text claims the department has a shirt for sale, and offers a supposed discount.
The Fire Fighters Association has clarified that the message does not come from them, and is most likely a phishing scam.
If you receive the message, do not click any links. Simply delete the message, or do not reply.
