DAWSON CREEK -- This past weekend, residents of Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson were celebrated for their outstanding contributions to their communities with the prestigious King Charles III Medals.
In Dawson Creek, MLA Mike Bernier presented a medal and certificate to Dr. Remi Oyedeji, Chief of Staff at the Dawson Creek Hospital. Dr. Oyedeji was honoured for his unwavering dedication to healthcare in the region, making significant strides in improving medical services, staffing levels, and patient care.
While in Fort Nelson, MLA Dan Davies awarded Lorraine Gerwing for her tireless advocacy in healthcare and her extensive service to the community. Gerwing’s efforts being recognized as instrumental in driving positive changes and supporting the well-being of residents.
The medals were presented on behalf of Governor General Mary Simon, recognizing individuals who have made a significant impact across Canada.
