FORT ST. JOHN -- As a weather system brings more snow and colder temperatures to the Peace Region this week, Drive BC is warning about driving conditions across the region.

Those crossing the Taylor Bridge can expect slippery sections and blowing snow to affect visibility.

Drivers in Fort St. John will be affected by compact snow causing slippery roads.

Those in Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and up to the Alberta border will also be affected by blowing snow and icy conditions.

Before leaving your home, check Drive BC for current road conditions.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive to the conditions, and to leave earlier for drives as it can take longer to reach your destination in the snow.

Environment Canada is calling for more snow for most of the week with temperatures dropping to -20 C by Friday.
