FORT ST. JOHN, BC -- The City of Fort St. John has waived its recreation fees for evacuees.

City Council approved removing the drop-in fees for city activities for anyone evacuated by the Battleship Mountain wildfire. The Evacuation Order remains in place for over 1,000 residents of Hudson’s Hope and the surrounding areas.

The waiving of drop-in fees applies to all city-run recreation activities, including drop-in classes at the Kids Arena Fieldhouse, and public skating. Free skate rentals are also available at the Pomeroy Sports Centre.
