CHETWYND -- The Chetwynd Emergency Department is on diversion for the second time in 24 hours. The ER will be closed until 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The Emergency Department reopened at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning after another diversion took place Wednesday night. The ER had been open for just under four hours when the second diversion was announced on social media.
Northern Health says the closures were both due to staffing challenges.
Today's diversion marks the fourth time this month staffing issues have forced the ER to turn away patients.
