TAYLOR -- Fort St. John RCMP have confirmed that a vehicle was discovered lodged in the ice in the Pine River.
Police received a report last Thursday that a white sedan was partially submerged in the river southwest of Taylor.
Investigators tracked down and spoke to the registered owner of the vehicle.
After receiving an explanation from the vehicle’s owner, police say they have some doubts about the explanation they were given as to how the car ended up in the river.
Regardless, police say their investigation into the matter has wrapped up and charges are not being considered.
