FORT ST. JOHN -- The Peace River Regional District says the Boundary Lake Water Station will remain closed over water quality concerns.
The regional district says the closure began last Monday after a routine inspection that found raw water quality issues that have now been found to be caused by an equipment failure.
It says the failure was on a supplier's side, and repairs are underway.
The regional district says there's no public safety threat, but the failure impacted the functionality of the water treatment system, and there's no word on when the water station will be fully restored.
