FORT ST. JOHN -- B.C.'s provincial courts will be reducing the number of in-person trials from Monday to January 28th due to the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.

The court says all in-person traffic, ticket and bylaw trials are adjourned for rescheduling without the disputant having to attend court.
In-person criminal trials, trial continuations and preliminary inquiries involving people not in custody will be adjourned while those for people in custody will go ahead.
Distancing requirements will also be put in place.
