DAWSON CREEK -- BC Hydro now joining the list of employers in the province requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
Employees have until November 22nd to be fully vaccinated, in-line with the provincial health orders mandating vaccines for public service workers.
This will affect more than 6,000 Hydro staff, including contract workers and the Site C project construction site.
Consultants, employes and sub-contractors of the company need to be fully vaccined by January 2022.
Dr. Bonnie Henry recently recommended the implementation of mandatory vaccines for all major industrial employers in B.C.
LNG Canada announced a mandatory vaccine for their employers on Thursday, with a recommendatation their contractors follow suit.
