DAWSON CREEK -- A convoy of truck drivers are rallying against the B.C. Government on Sunday.

As of last Saturday, all truck drivers in Canada must be fully vaccinated, if they are crossing into and coming back from the United States.

Canadian truckers are holding a Canada wide trucking shutdown, this sunday at 12 P.M..

Nationally, at noon truck drivers will start in Vancouver and head to Ottawa.

At the same time, truckers in Fort St. John will be holding their own protest. They will be circling By-pass Road and driving down the Alaska Highway in hopes of getting attention from the Government.

A Fort St. John driver says he’s fighting back against this mandate.

“We want to make sure our Government hears us loud and clear that we don’t appreciate having our sovereign rights toppled on,” says Mike Haab.
