TAYLOR -- The Alaska Highway has re-opened in both directions south of Taylor after to a commercial vehicle fire. It happened Monday morning on Highway 97 near the Old Alaska Highway road. 

According to the Dawson Creek RCMP, a semi carrying a construction crane erupted in flames. Mounties say no injuries are being reported.

Sgt. Jaime Moffat with the Dawson Creek RCMP says, “The amount of fuel involved in a concern for first responders and the road will stay closed until it is safe for the public.”

Police haven't said what caused the fire but they don't believe it to be suspicious in nature.
