DAWSON CREEK -- Dawson Creek RCMP say an accidental shooting in the parking lot of sporting goods store sent one person to hospital.
It happened around 3pm on Monday. Police say a man sitting in his vehicle accidentally discharged his firearm and wounded another person standing outside.
It is believed the man was taking his gun to be serviced at Corlane’s Sporting Goods when it discharged.
The victim was standing outside the vehicle in the parking lot when he was shot. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Dawson Creek RCMP say charges are being considered. Their investigation looking into the matter is on-going.
