Woman facing 16 charges after fleeing RCMP

A woman from Grande Prairie has finally been charged after fleeing the RCMP.

On August 29, a woman was arrested in Grande Prairie after leading police on a high-speed chase through the city, which ended with her crashing into an SUV and a gravel truck. On Monday, September 18, the RCMP announced charges against the suspect. 27-year-old Katelyn Gargan faces 16 charges, including assaulting a police officer, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.

She will appear in court on Wednesday, September 26.
