Two Grande Prairie men face charges after drug bust

Two Grande Prairie men are facing a long list of charges after a large amount of drugs were seized during two searches.
On Friday, August 24, the RCMP searched two homes in the city, finding 122 grams of cocaine, around 1 kilogram of marijuana, 24 grams of heroin, 62 tabs of LSD, 28 tablets of Oxycontin, a small amount of fentanyl, a loaded handgun, and over $50,000 in cash.
19-year-old Blake Burrows and 18-year-old Zachary Edwards-Swanson face a number of charges, including possession of a controlled substance, and possession for the purpose of trafficking. Edwards-Swanson also faces charges in relation to the handgun.
Both men made their first appearance in court on August 29.
