Just before 2:00 a.m. on Monday (December 31, 2018), Grande Prairie RCMP were called to a home, where a man had returned with a firearm, after being removed from the property earlier in the evening.
Allegedly, a gunshot was fired and then the suspect fled to the Countryside South area.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
With the help of Police Dog Services and the RCMP Emergency Response Team, one man was arrested.
As a result, 35-year-old Carl Ross Yarborough of Grande Prairie has been charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, discharge firearm while being reckless, and mischief.
He will appear in Provincial Court in Grande Prairie on Monday (January 7, 2019).
