Grande Prairie resident charged after fatal hit and run

A person in Grande Prairie faces serious charges after a fatal hit and run.
The RCMP say that on Monday, October 29, a 26-year-old man from Edmonton was hit at the intersection of 100 Street and 68 Avenueby a stolen Ford F350. The driver fled the area on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital, but died from his injuries
On Wednesday, December 5, police charged 37-year-old Terris Truax with dangerous driving causing death, failing to remain at the scene of an accident involving death, flight from a police officer, and possession of property obtained by crime.
He will appear in court on Wednesday, December 19.
