Grande Prairie RCMP ask for the public to help find suspect in an assault


Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect in an assault.
Police say that on Saturday, December 15, at around 10:42 p.m, they were called to the area of 100 Street and 93 Avenue for a stabbing. One man was found with a serious injury, and was taken to the hospital.

Video surveillance shows another man injuring the victim without obvious provocation. The RCMP say the suspect left the area in an unknown direction.

He has been described as indigenous, with a heavy build, and was wearing a dark coat, a plaid shirt, jeans, a black toque, and brown boots with furry white trim. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS
