Five Arrested in Prince George under the Cannabis Act.

Prince George RCMP say that five people were arrested on Friday in accordance with the Cannabis act, but have since been released pending further investigation.
Members of the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Village Avenue. All five arrested were inside the home at the time of the search.
Once inside, officers found several pounds of dried cannabis, many pre-packaged bags of other cannabis products, cash and items often used in trafficking.
The five arrested were released without charges, although Prince George RCMP say they are awaiting charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
Aside from tickets, this is the first enforcement action taken in Prince George under the Cannabis Act.
