Dawson Creek RCMP investigate alleged robbery

Hugh Smith

Dawson Creek RCMP are looking for the people responsible for stealing jewelry from the Dawson Creek Mall.

At 3:43 a.m on Thursday, November 22, the RCMP responded to an alarm at the DC Brick Gold Jewelers store. Police say some people got into the mall, then broke into the store, stealing around $80,000 worth of jewelry, along with some cash.

These images were taken form security cameras and the RCMP says they believe these people are responsible for the theft.

Police say they found a vehicle abandoned nearby with pieces of jewelry in it, along with other evidence, and they used police dogs to track the suspects to another location, where they believe they may have got into another vehicle.

The RCMP believe this vehicle was involved in the crime.

If anyone has information about any of these people or the vehicle, call Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
