Fire crews were hard at work in Charlie Lake early this morning, battling a massive fire at an industrial building.
Smoke could be seen rising into the sky from a far distance, after a blaze broke out at an industrial building on the 10200 block along 296 Road in Charlie Lake.
A friend of the owner says the industrial building was occupied by a towing company.
Also, an eyewitness told CJDC that he called the fire department just before 5:00 a.m., once he arrived at work next to the burning lot.
The Charlie Lake fire crew attended to the flames with assistance from neighbouring fire departments - Fort St. John and Taylor District.
Earlier today, we contacted the Charlie Lake Fire Department for official details, but have not yet received a response.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damages remain unknown.
