City of Fort St. John Asks Public To Let 'High On Ice' Preparations "Chill"

Fort St. John’s High on Ice Winter Festival is right around the corner.

It starts next Friday (February 15th) and runs through the Family Day Weekend.
With preparations well underway, the city is asking a favour from the public.

In a release put out this afternoon, it’s asked that the public “stay out of Centennial Park and off the ice slides until the opening ceremonies on Friday, February 15”.

The ice slides have been a huge hit at the festival in the past, and in order for them to be at their best when they open next week, they need time to “chill”.

If you need to get to the parking lot at the North peace Leisure Pool, it’s asked that you use the back access off 96 Street, as the main entrance will be closed through the festival.

Opening ceremonies for the 2019 Pembina High on Ice Winter Festival are on the 15th, with the slides officially opening at 4:00 P.M. that day.
