Alberta man charged in Grande Prairie after traffic stop

An Alberta man has been charged after Grande Prairie RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the city.
Around 3:00 p.m. last Thursday, November 22, 2018, officers stopped a vehicle near 116 Avenue.
From the ensuing investigation, RCMP seized a firearm and ammunition, almost 1,600 pills from various prescription medications, over $3,000 in cash, and multiple weapons, including bearspray, knives and a baton.
42-year-old Trent Douglas Hockett of Wembley, Alberta has been charged with Possession for the purpose of Trafficking, Possession of property obtained by crime, and four counts of Fail to comply with conditions of release.
