'Kickin' It With Friends' Soccer Tournament Still Seeks Sponsors

The 'Kickin' It With Friends' soccer tournament is returning to Surerus Fields in Fort St. John for the final weekend of May.

Each year, the event raises money for a member of the community in need.

This third edition of the tournament is supporting RCMP Constable Tony Brooks, who's battling stage 2 testicular cancer.

'Kickin' It With Friends' is a partnership between the Fort St. John Soccer Club and Bell Media, and there are still lots of opportunities for local businesses to get involved.

"It helps with any costs associated with the tournament," says Amy Titley, General Manager of Bell Media (BC Peace) and the tournament's founder.

"Anything left over after cost obviously goes directly to the recipient as well, so that means sponsors can be directly responsible for giving money to Constable Tony Brooks and helping his family get through this really trying time."

Businesses interested in getting involved can reach Amy at work (250-785-6634), on her cell (250-261-8032) or by email (amy.titley@bellmedia.ca).
