HUDSON'S HOPE -- The BC Conservation Service have warned Hudson’s Hope residents to clear their yards of anything that could attract animals after 4 bears were euthanized in the area.

In a release, the Service said the bears where foraging through people’s yards for food and weren’t being aggressive.

Calls to the BC Conversation Service for more information were not returned.

They said all residents in Hudson's Hoper need to remove fruit like apples, chokecherries and crabapples from their yard to prevent attracting more bears.

Anyone ordered to remove food would need to get rid of them within one-half day.

Failure to remove any of the items could result in a $230 fine.
