DAWSON CREEK -- The Dawson Creek RCMP said 3 theft happened over the Labour Day long weekend in the city.

One of the incidents happened at Trailblaz’N Power Ltd. off of Vic Turner Airport road.

At the business, someone had broken into the yard and attempted to hotwire 2 ATVs.

The person failed to steal them but caused $7,000 worth of damage to the vehicles.

Another theft happened at 7-11 where 13 propane takes were stolen.

A motor home was also broken into 2 blocks away from Mount Christian School.

A green motorbike was stolen from it.

Sargent Sean Pedal said the RCMP don’t believe any of the thefts are connected.

Some of the incidents weren’t reported until after the long weekend.

Pedal said it’s important that residents report any crimes as soon as they happen.

The investigation into all of the thefts is ongoing.
