FORT ST. JOHN -- The Charlie Lake Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire yesterday evening.
Firefighters received reports of a black pickup truck on fire. According to the team of nine personnel, the engine caught on fire due to mechanical issues.
The incident happened on Brandt Frontage Road, north of Fort St. John, at 8:11 p.m.
The driver and sole passenger managed to escape without injuries. The vehicle was damaged, but no other damage was reported.
Crews put the fire out minutes after arriving at the scene.
