xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxPeter Jackson - Sports Anchor
Peter Jackson is a CJDC TV News reporter in Fort St. John, as well as morning news anchor on 101.5 The Bear, Energy FM and 890 CJDC. Born in Stettler Alberta, the majority of Peter's youth was spent playing the drums, hockey and basketball. Once he realised his dreams of playing goal for the Edmonton Oilers were a little off, he decided on a career that would keep him close to the action. During high school he had the opportunity to do colour commentary for the local Jr "B" team in Stettler during their playoff run. After high school, Peter packed his bags and moved to Saskatoon Saskatchewan to attend Western Academy Broadcasting College. Once completing the radio and advanced television portions of the course and graduating he once again packed his things up and made the hike to northern BC. Peter covers a range of topics during a typical work week including sports, school board meetings, community events and everything in between. When he isn't working he enjoys listening to Foo Fighters, watching The Edmonton Oilers and Boston Red Sox crush their opponents, and talking hockey with his dad on the phone.
