This weekend, Project Porchlight coordinators are hoping a lot of volunteers turn up to help deliver energy efficient bulbs to every home in the city.

Today, organizers will hold two training sessions at the Totem Mall, and hand out the bulbs and maps to the city to volunteers.

Jane Baker, Project Porchlight's Regional Coordinator for Northeast BC, says Fort St. John is the Project's last stop because of the city's size. She says getting involved with the project is a no-brainer, calling it a 'win-win' situation.

Baker says they are hoping to deliver all 20,000 lightbulbs by mid-November. Sponsored by Encana and BC Hydro, the project's goal is to replace one regular bulb with an energy efficient bulb in every home in northeastern BC.
