Saturday is the last day to see the Free Spirit Conservation tour in Fort St. John.

The tour brings together energy conservation principles from Powersmart and a museum collection featuring BC's history to celebrate where the province has been, and where it's going.

The tour has a unique twist though, it's not just a travelling part of the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, but it features features actors, a talking lamp and catchy songs to teach kids aout conserving energy in the home.

Ben Gardiner, BC Hydro's Powersmart coordinator in Fort St John, says BC Hydro's goal of meeting 50 per cent of all energy needs in the future by conserving energy today is a big one, which is why they have to tackle it creatively.

The tour will go to seven cities in seven weeks and hopes to reach about 4,000 kids with the interactive presentation.

The Free Spirit BC conservation tour is in Fort St John at the Totem Mall until Saturday at 2 p.m., when it packs up for Prince George.  For more information go to www.freespiritbc.ca/conservationtour
