Interview with Bruce Christensen, Candidate for FSJ Council

Interview with Bruce Christensen, Candidate for FSJ Council
Bruce Christensen was elected to council two years ago in a by-election. He says his top priorities are that council and staff work together in the interests of all groups in the city, to have a business approach in management and staff decisions, and to build the relationship between the regional district and the other regions in Northern B.C.

Questions to the candidate, in order:

1. If elected, what would be your top three priorities on council?

2. Accountability in office:
- What recourse should residents have if they feel promises made during a campaign are not kept?
- How accountable do you think the council is in general to the interests of the residents?

3. Fiscal responsibility:
- What do you think of the five-year capital budget and the recent capital expenditures made by the city?
- Do you think the Enerplex was a good move, in hindsight?
- In light of the current economic climate, what do you think the best course would be financially for the city in the next three years?
