A 27-year-old woman has been arrested after fleeing from police in grande Prairie.
Last night (Wednesday) at around 5:40 p.m, the RCMP pulled over a woman who was wanted on warrants near the intersection of 97A Street and 100th Avenue.
While she was being arrested, she broke free, jumped back into her car, and sped off while the officers were still holding onto the doors of her jeep.
The suspect was found 20 minutes later, driving near the intersection of 68th Avenue and 92nd Street.
The vehicle sped off again when police tried to pull her over.
The vehicle then sped northbound on 92nd Street, when it collided with an SUV and a gravel truck that were waiting at the intersection with 100th Avenue.
The driver jumped from the jeep and began to run westbound, but was caught by police.
The RCMP say charges are pending.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident.
