Man arrested after making bomb threat at Totem Mall

UPDATE: Fort St. John RCMP say a 23 year old man walked into the Totem mall with a duffle bag, and was questioned by security. He told guards twice that the bag contained a bomb. Police arrived on scene and arrested him. When asked what was in the bag, he said loudly that it contained a bomb. The RCMP found that the bag contained only groceries. Charges are pending.

Unconfirmed reports say Fort St. John RCMP have arrested one man for making bomb threats at the Totem Mall.

Reports say that during the noon hour a man allegedly walked into Winners saying he had a bomb. Officers arrived and arrested the man, and discovered he did not have a bomb.

We reached out to the RCMP, but they were unavailable for comment.
