Tumbler Ridge Woman Gets a Chance to Rule the North

As Game of Thrones fans wait for the final season to see who will sit atop the iron throne, a couple from Tumbler Ridge who had never seen the show found themselves doing just that.

To promote the upcoming season, HBO has launched a global contest where 6 replica iron thrones have been hidden all around the world.

The company has used cryptic clues and revealed hints on the locations chosen, and one of these locations happens to be in Northeastern British Columbia.

Kevin Sharman and his wife Brigit where headed out for one of the seasons last cross-country skis when they came across the throne in Babcock Creek.

Other thrones have been found in Puzzlewood, England; Björklinden, Sweden; Castillo de Atienza, Spain; and Beberibe, Brazil.

The clues to the whereabouts of the sixth and final throne will be released later this week.
